The forest fires in Indonesia are becoming an annual affair. To clear the land for farming, palm oil companies burn virgin rainforests down. Birdlife wanted Indonesians and the neighbouring countries affected to know that habitat loss had a devastating effect on native bird species.

This campaign is part of BirdLife's 'Forests of Hope' programme (Hutan Harapan). Harapan is Indonesia's first Ecosystem Restoration Concession and covers over 98,000 ha of threatened lowland forest in Sumatra.

LIFECYCLE

City dwellers spend much of their day cooped up inside. Yet there’s so much more out there to explore and discover. And the best way to do that is on the saddle of a bike. Cycling offers an individual perspective: a city looks and feels completely different when riding on a bike. To dramatise this idea, we created compositions of maps and landscapes from a variety of bicycle parts, encouraging people to break free of their daily routine, and to look at their surroundings in a completely different light.

Global Alliance for Preservation of History of WWII in Asia

The campaign draws attention to Japan’s attempt to rewrite history and highlights the Japanese version of history to a point of political satire. The print campaign takes on a vintage look in the style of a typewritten letter. One of the ads features general Hideki Tojo, the wartime Japanese prime minister who was held responsible for starting War World II. The copy is a satirical look at the way modern-day Japanese have tried to establish their version of history by depicting Tojo as a frail and courageous grandfather and not the militarist that he was.

 
 

Subway “Fresh Friendships”

For this year’s edition of ‘Buy One Get One’ day at Subway, we invited customers to embark on brand new friendships by sharing the free sandwich that comes with each purchase.

Collaborating with emerging international artists, different posters were created that showcased unlikely friendships being forged between characters traditionally portrayed as foes, all because of their love and appetite for Subway sandwiches.
